17:56:59  <Leeol3>Couple questions. #1: File system is not provided by Nodejitsu, correct? That is to say, i have access to the FS, but it's not gauranteed (nor does it exist between balanced servers). So an external FS Server is probably the best bet. #2: Does Nodejitsu provide Bower? If not, if you want to use Github deployment, you must have to commit your bower components?
18:00:24  * DTrejojoined
18:03:16  <Sly>Leeol3: yes, filesystems do not persist on our platform. Each time you deploy or start, you're on a different server with a completely fresh filesystem.

20:06:11  <cronopio>carmbrecht: the few streams used at pkgcloud are used using the <0.10 ideas
20:06:44  <carmbrecht>cronopio: Would you know of any good examples? I've run into some interesting things with cloudfiles api, like I'll stream a file to cloudfiles, and wait for a successful complete callback, which I'll get, but it was clearly unsuccessful.
20:06:54  <carmbrecht>cronopio: sorry, readin'...
20:07:01  <cronopio>carmbrecht: yeah, feel free for hack into those functions and make some advance using the new streams

20:08:53  <carmbrecht>cronopio: ok, I'll look into that. Thanks! For the time being, on a tight deadline, using readfile / writefile shouldn't be a problem. Any examples there? I know pkg accepts streams, but I haven't seen an example like that...
20:10:57  <carmbrecht>cronopio: Really, I'm just looking for something that is basic, but solid for getting a file from my server to cloudfiles.
20:12:58  <cronopio>carmbrecht: well... pkgcloud could help with that, please read this function upload() https://github.com/nodejitsu/pkgcloud/blob/master/lib/pkgcloud/rackspace/storage/client/files.js#L32 and download() https://github.com/nodejitsu/pkgcloud/blob/master/lib/pkgcloud/rackspace/storage/client/files.js#L75
20:13:16  <cronopio>carmbrecht: that should give you an idea about how to pass the according streams
